Celtics Dominate from Start to Finish

Jayson Tatum Leads the Way with 32 Points

The Boston Celtics put on a commanding performance in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, blowing out the Dallas Mavericks 107-89 on Thursday night. The Celtics were in control from the opening tip, leading by as many as 24 points in the first half.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 32 points, including five three-pointers. Jaylen Brown added 24 points, while Marcus Smart contributed 18 points and 10 assists. Kristaps Porzingis, who returned to the Celtics lineup after missing several games with a calf injury, scored 20 points.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Dončić, who finished with a triple-double of 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. However, Dončić was inefficient from the field, shooting just 8-of-24. The rest of the Mavericks struggled to score, as no other player reached double figures in points.

The Celtics' victory was a statement to the rest of the league. They are the defending champions and they are looking to repeat. The Mavericks, on the other hand, will need to make some adjustments if they want to bounce back in Game 2.
