Arnett Promoted to Lead Bulldogs in Reliaquest Bowl and Beyond

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Zach Arnett has been named head coach of the Mississippi State football program, the university announced today. Arnett, who has served as the Bulldogs' defensive coordinator since 2020, will lead the team in the upcoming Reliaquest Bowl and beyond.

Arnett has been a key figure in Mississippi State's success over the past three seasons. The Bulldogs have ranked among the top 25 nationally in total defense in each of those years, and they finished in the top 10 in 2022.

Prior to joining Mississippi State, Arnett spent six seasons as the defensive coordinator at San Diego State. He also had coaching stints at New Mexico and Missouri.

Arnett is known for his aggressive defensive scheme, which has helped Mississippi State generate numerous turnovers and sacks.
